I never thought that fear could hold you back so much in what God has for you to do. This training camp has stretched me so far, I’m looking forward to India thinking that it can’t possibly get any more hard, right?? Wrong!!! I know it is just beginning! And I can’t wait!
When I first noticed that fear was very present in my life was the first night of training camp when they sent us out onto the streets of Atlanta to talk to people. I told my team that I was feeling very hesitant and also fear in approaching people and talking to them. One of my leaders for the evening prayed against the fear and immediately I felt the apprehension and fear leave, and an excitement and peace replace them. Becca, my leader, told me to go over to this couple sitting in the park, and just talk to them and get them to tell me a story. So I took someone with me and went out to face my fear. As I approached them I have no idea what I said to start the conversation, all I know is that these were the easiest people to talk to! As we were talking the guy literally said “Let me tell you a story.” How awesome is that. It blew me away! Here Becca told me to get a story and this guy just starts telling one! It definitely pumped me up! I was so excited after that.
As training camp continued I realized that there was a lot of fear that was holding me back so I took care of it. And fear isn’t a factor any more with the power of God in me! I can’t wait to leave tomorrow on that big silver plane India bound! I can’t wait to see what God is going to do through myself and my amazing team! I can’t wait to see God glorified to the MAX!
