Lessons of the week: Don’t miss opportunites by contemplating God’s will. Let me elaborate. God has a will. It will come to pass…whether we sit there and try to figure it out first and pray hard about it–it will still come to pass. I say this not to take away from the power of prayer or the power of thoelogical discussions, but truthfully it doesn’t matter what we deduce from our contemplation or our discussion or our thoughts on the matter…God has a will and it will come to pass. I do not argue the importance of these things, but just wish to point out that It’s important to create a balance in these things and if it starts to detract from your purpose…you are doing something wrong. Don’t waste time trying to decide what person to talk to one afternoon. Just talk. Don’t waste time thinking that you are not good enough. You aren’t good enough!! God is!! His awesomeness will overshadow any inadequacy that you have. He will guide your feet. He will guide your mouth. He will guide your heart! So don’t sweat it! and don’t make it a bigger problem in your heart than it has to be. That takes away from God’s power and is like telling Him that your in control and that He’s not good enough to handle your doubts and your questions….and truthfully it’s all about Him. not our thoughts. not our feelings. not our passions or our fears or our frustrations or our comfort. I’m not sorry to say this at all: It’s not about YOU!
“I’m coming back to the heart of worship
And it’s all about You,
It’s all about You, Je$u$
I’m sorry, Lord, for the thing I’ve made it
When it’s all about You,
It’s all about You, Je$u$.”
