if i have learned one thing from these past 3 weeks, its been that HE is in control. originally, i signed up to work with women who had been involved with prostitution. however, HE had different plans. it turns out that we are helping with PREVENTION instead of after care. so let me just tell you what that means….basically, i spend 5 days a week in a room with 60 preschoolers!!!! yes. preschoolers. needless to say, this was a complete shock to me and my entire team and leaders. but it turns out that i have learned SOOOO much from this change in plans! out of the 60 children, only 3 of them are believers, the rest are other religions. i cant begin to describe to you the way i felt after hearing those numbers. instantly, i was convicted and i heard HIM say as clear as day, “You might not see the benefits of your labor now, but a seed is being planted and you are showing the children my love for them. 10 years down the road, they’ll look back and remember the white teacher with red hair and how she taught them about my love. you ae
e doing MY work…its exactly what you are suppose to be doing.” i am so encouraged by everything… yes, my days are exhausting between getting up at 6:45, riding the craz ybus, and dealing with screaming children who just want to climb on me. but in the end, i know that i’m doing what i’ve been called to do in THIS season if my life. so, 10 years down the road when im 32, the fruit of this labor will show….im holding onto that because its a promise that HE has given me!!! Jeremiah 29:11 “For i know the plans i have for you, pland to prosper you, not to harm you…plans to give you hope and a future”.
