my new hands and feet

The first night we arrived at training camp, my team was instructed to live homeless on the streets of Atlanta for the evening; in this assignment, sensitivity to the Holy Spirit was vital. After speaking to and praying for multiple people, we met Piccu. Piccu was sitting alone in an abandoned bus stop accompanied by an industrial trash bag filled with all he had to his name. My team grew to love this teddy bear of a man and grew more and more affectionate towards how sweet and harmless he was. We decided to use the $8 we had been given in order to feed him and we were determined to get him...

Traveling Home

Most parents should have received this update via email, but because several email addresses bounced back, we’re including it here as well:   We know many of you are aware of the recent volcano eruption in Iceland and the effect this is having on flights through Europe.  Unfortunately, our Real Life teams in Kenya and India are scheduled to fly through Amsterdam and London this weekend.  We are in regular communication with our travel agent and both airports are currently open.  Since all participants do currently have seats, they should not be bumped from any of...

Ordinary Man

Wednesday after we finished our program and before we left the slums, we had one last person to pray for, Sundeep, a little boy about 8-9 y/o, who loves Jesus and loves to lead songs and worship.  He had badly injured his leg while he was playing when a motorbike hit him.  We had prayed over him the week before as well because he had been unable to walk or to attend our meeting that day or the previous Friday.  Sundeep’s mom carried him in the little room after all the kids had left and he was there with just our team who were about to lay hands on him and pray for...
