It’s interesting to me to think of the many different
aspects of the word “bond.” In the past few weeks I have bonded with these
girls on my team. I know them. We are together every moment of everyday. They
are my family away from my real family. In a crowd, they are safety. In the
same sense, I want to bond with the people here. I want to build relationships.
I want to build friendships and make a difference. I want to see lives change.
However, at the same time I have been learning a lot about bondage lately. We
all are held down by something. Sin is such an all encompassing bondage. It
holds us back so much and stops us from living a life of freedom and ultimate
happiness. The people here live with the bondage of society. Their status hold
them back from progressing-just as our sin holds us back from living a life
with God*. The awesome part is that
Je$u$ has come to free us of our bondage. He has paid the price and came to set us free. Tomorrow some
of the girls and I are doing a skit to depict this. I hope that we can do it
some justice. So my goal here is to: build bonds and share how our bondage is
now gone. Bonding and Bondage (or lack there of).
