Our team has now completed our 4 days here in training camp and are totally India bound!!!!!!!!! Ye YEAHH!!!!!! I’m extremely stoked for our team, the women, children, and to really see God’s provision there up close and personal in INDIA!!!
Here at training camp, we went through different topics related to cross cultural encounters and how we should behave when these encounters arise. The topic that stuck in my mind would be the sermon on ‘Expectations’.
It was an awesome reminder of how we all have expectations when we’re about to embark in new adventures. What happens when our expectations are not met and we find the culture unusual?
I really enjoyed the sermon on learning how to react appropriately when expectations are not met. I know that I enjoy having my personal space especially because having my alone time allows me to be intimate with God and it totally revives me. BUT I have to get over this and adapt to the change when I’m in India. So, you bet I will have my Ipod on when I want my alone time! On another note, I absolutely love every single one of these girls. These girls are so much fun and are totally JESUS FREAKS! I’m excited to being growing together in Christ with these beautiful girls. I love the passion they have for Jesus Christ. It’s transparent and I love it!
