God has done amazing things starting from Flit, MI. Upon my arrival to Flint, it was presented to me that my plane was delayed by two hours. However it gave me extra time to spend with my family and say goodbyes to the ones I love. After going through the security and waving my last goodbyes to family I then waited for departure. In this time, I vented to the Lord and reminded Him of what he was calling me to do. I told Him I trusted him…… but there was one thing…. I still needed money to even go on this trip. And when I say money…. I needed a few hundred that I didn’t have. But I was trusting Him.
In the midst of me pouring my heart out to God, the stewardess at the podium came to me and asked if I was flying alone and would like to sit in coach. “There is a gentleman who no longer wants his seat in coach and there is only one seat to go around, she proceeds. My response to is to her question is no problem and we board the plane. Making my way to a new and comfortable seat, I find myself sitting next to an older gentleman. We hit it off with a quaint conversation about where we are going and what for. I then proceeded to tell him of my trip to Goa, India and what it’s all about.
After the two hour flight, we finally arrived at my destination! Tired, nervous, and scared, I made my way to the exit. The gentleman I sat next to pointed me in the right direction and left. Heading to baggage claim, I was doing my best to prepare myself to meet the rest of my team and leader. At this point I was really nervous because in a few minutes I was going meet my team. What made me the most nervous was that I was about to have to pay the rest of the money I still owed AIM. Finally, I reached baggage claim and there he was….. the same man I sat next to on the plane, waiting for my appearance. He came up to me and handed me a wad of money and said, “Be blessed and this is for your missions trip. Staring in amazement as tears built up in my eyes, I thanked him and stuffed it in my pocket. I began to praise and thank God seeing that there was $200!! After settling the shake in my hands and wiping the tears that stained my face, I entered the atrium where I was happily greeted by my team.
I felt like a breath of fresh air washed over me and all I could do was thank the Lord. I was able to pay the rest of the money! Hallelujah!! The Lord is so good! Faithful He is and Faithful He will always be! I have learned to be obedient and faithful to Him. At one point in this journey to get here, I felt that I had exhausted all my resources for support. But here, just by me being obedient to God and doing my part, He is Faithful in return and will NEVER fail you! God will do His part if you do Yours. Have faith and trust in the Lord! Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is being sure of what you hope for and certain of what you do not see.
