India is a land of rich culture, spicy food, and wonderful
colors. This is a land filled with such wonder and beauty, yet it is filled
with grave poverty. Yes, poverty in the sense of wealth but more importantly
spiritual poverty. Although religion plays a key role in this culture with the abundance
of idols and mosque these people lack any concept of the ability to have a
personal relationship with God. This idea is a foreign concept not just to
individuals but to the culture as a whole. Yet, in this world of spiritual
darkness there are glimmers of light. Thought Christian school, tutoring
programs and conversations on the bus God has taught me that He is here and
although this place seem so forgotten He is working in the heart of the Indian people.
