Ever felt weak, tired and nauseous but you still have to get up at 4:00am to leave the house by 5:00am to catch a train? No? That was my situation to start our debrief trip! For some reason my stomach was not feeling great at all and hadn’t been for a few days prior to this trip. I was in the midst of physical spiritual warfare. Needless to say, my travel day was a little on the rough side. Yet, the overall travel day for the team went very smooth.
How about walking 4 kilometers in 90 plus degree weather wearing a Punjabi outfit to the Taj Mahal. Have you ever done that? Still no? Well, I did. Can I just say it may have added to the whole experience, but gracious was it HOT! To get into the Taj we had to pay 750 rupees compared to 10 rupees Indians get to pay. Pretty funny. It was so worth it though. The Taj Mahal was huge and magnificent. I still can’t believe I’ve seen it with my own eyes. Everyone wanted to take pictures of us. It was crazy! Mothers thrusting their children at us just to get a picture. Men lined up with their picture phones as well. Weird.
Our actual “debrief day” ended up being very beneficial. We were asked to spend 2 hours thinking about our opinions on community living, feedback and ministry. We also have to think about our expectations for the last few weeks. It was awesome to think back to all the ways God has moved and used me.
So there are 4 weeks of ministry left! I’m ready to dig deep and speak the truth about God’s unfailing love. I’m ready for God to stretch me, grow me and use me!!
