Wow, this first week has been amazing. When I was preparing for the trip I really expected to experience at least a little bit of a culture shock, but that has not been the case at all. In fact, as soon as I got off the plane in Goa and jumped into the cramped taxi that took us to our house, I knew I was right where I was supposed to be. I was instantly at peace and totally comfortable. That’s an amazing feeling, to know you are right where God wants you. It’s so different here in India than what I’m used to…the food, the smells, the animals everywhere, the driving…and yet God has given me complete comfort with everything happening around me. I’m so thankful for that.
However, being where God wants you comes with the enemy being pretty upset. This is a spiritual battlefield, there’s no doubt about it. India is such a dark spiritual place, and you can see it and feel it everywhere. The enemy is trying to trip us at every chance, whether it be through being frustrated with each other, being afraid or getting sick. With God we will prevail though. Nothing can stop us from doing what God has called us to do here in India. I am completely reliant on God throughout everyday to keep my heart, mind, soul and body protected, and He is faithful.
I would really appreciate prayers concerning our spiritual battle in India, our health and our ministry. We will be starting full time ministry this week and I’m so excited to see what God has for us…He has an amazing plan for this team, this time and these people.
