Sally sells seashells by the seashore.

Well we have been in India for about two weeks. It has been an adventure to say the least. I won’t go into detail about everything we have been doing, but I will give you the highlights that stand out in my mind. First off, we took a sixteen hour train ride to the place we are staying now. This was an overnight train, and it is not like the trains you have in America. The thing that probably hit me the most was that beggars would walk up and down the aslies of the train asking for money. This one man was crippled, and would not leave us alone. He stayed and was touching people’s faces asking for money. This completely broke me, and I started sobbing hiding my face from him. I think it was the fact that I was on a train and had to come face to face with this man. I had to see in his eyes the pain and the need for money. Needless to say that was an intense way to start off the train ride.
Where we are now is on the coast. There is this women we met who owns a shop on the beach near where we are staying. Her name is Sally, and she is a believer. Her family is not, and her husband is an acholoic. She has such strength and courage to live her life the way she does, and it was an inspiration for me to talk to her. We were able to speak encouragement over her, and tears came rolling off her face. She is completely devoted to Him, and I am wondering why it is so difficult for us to live our lives like this when we have nothing to fear. This women lives her life like this when she has so much to lose, but nothing stops her.
