This is my God. Who is yours?

My God is not made from wood, painted various colors, and
shaped by humans.

My God made the wood, created the colors, and formed the
hands of man. (Genesis 1-2; Psalm 96:5-6)

My God is not restricted by race, geography, or gender.

My God sees all people as equal, in spite of who or where
they are. (Acts 10:34; Romans 2:11)

My God is not locked behind bars, only accessible on certain
days.

My God is freedom, forever accessible and approachable. (Hebrews 4:16; 10:22)

My God doesn’t demand worship out of ritualistic acts and
static motions.

My God longs for worship that speaks truth from our hearts
and lives. (Psalm 63:3; John 4:23-24)

My God is not at war with other gods, hoping to come out on
top.

My God was, is, and will always be victorious, regardless of
the opponent. (Hebrews 12:28; 1 John 4:4)

My God doesn’t define Himself based on one aspect of His
character.

My God is the definition of character, full of depth and
complexity beyond human comprehension. (Job 11:7-10; Romans 11:33)

My God is not the sky god, or the water god, or any other
god of one thing.

My God is King of all, Creator and Maker of everything that
is. (Deuteronomy 10:17; 1 Timothy 6:15)

My God doesn’t drink the blood of humans to satisfy His
thirst.

My God shed His own blood in order to satisfy our thirst for
something Greater. (Psalm 91:14-16; Romans 6:21-23)

My God doesn’t require human sacrifice, animal sacrifice, or
any other sacrifice that demands death of His creation.

My God is the Ultimate Sacrifice that paved the way to
uninhibited freedom in Spirit and Truth. (Galatians 5:1; Colossians 1:22)
