what does it mean to be faithful?

Hosea 3:1
“The lord said to me ” Go, show your love to your wife again, though she is loved by another and is an adulteress, love her as I have loved the Israelites, though they turn to other gods and love the scared rasin cakes.”
Hosea was a man of great faith and when the Lord called him to marry a woman who he knew was going to be unfaithful to him, he did it anyways because God had called him to do it. And when Gomer, Hosea’s wife, was unfaithful and placed herself in a demonic world, a world of prostitution, Hosea did not give up but rather prayed for God’s will to be done. And so it was, God told Hosea to go and get his wife back. This is just what he did, while Gomer had become worthless to society but Hosea still looked at her as if she were a gem.

Hebrew 11:8-9

“By faith Abraham, when called to a place that would later become his inheritance, he obeyed and went, even thought he did not know where he was going. By faith he made his home in the promise land.”
Although Abraham had no idea where God wanted him to go, he began to move trusting in God that the plans he had for him would soon reveal them selves. And as he moved and trusted in the Lord, the plans God had for him made the trip worth the uncertainty, for he later received the land as his inheritance,

Semmini, a woman of faith serving the kingdom of God here in India, began her journey just 4 years ago. As Semmini was working at Emmanuel (a local orphanage) she met Victor. Victor was working as the head master for the boys. It was here while working at Emmanuel that Semmini realized she was serving other people’s dreams and not her own calling from God. Semmini wanted to open her own orphanage. The same year Semmini confirmed her dreams with the Lord she was told that Victor sir is who she was going to be betrothed to. While Semmini was unsure of this decision, she trusted that it was ordained by God.  You see, Victor too wanted to open his own orphanage. And so it was final and they were married.
Shortly after becoming married, the 2 resigned from their jobs at Emmanuel unsure of where God was calling them and how they were going to financially survive. However, knowing they were called to open their own children’s home, they put their trust in the Lord and he provided them with the funds to rent a 5 “bedroom” home. While things started slow the train picked up quickly, moving from just 3 children to 35.
Today, God has continued to provide for The Asha House and for the helping hands. Allowing the children a place sleep, eat, pray, and grow safely. He has provided schooling for the older children and study materials for the children awaiting school.

So I ask not only of myself but you ” What does the lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God? Micah 6:8
