Traveling Home

Most parents should have received this update via email, but because several email addresses bounced back, we’re including it here as well:   We know many of you are aware of the recent volcano eruption in Iceland and the effect this is having on flights through Europe.  Unfortunately, our Real Life teams in Kenya and India are scheduled to fly through Amsterdam and London this weekend.  We are in regular communication with our travel agent and both airports are currently open.  Since all participants do currently have seats, they should not be bumped from any of...

A Change of Heart

Three weeks.  Three weeks from today and then I’ll be home.   …I can’t believe that.  It seems like it has been ages since I have been home.  I know it’s only the beginning of April but time seems to be flying by.  And now, before I know it, I will be boarding a plane back to the US. Mid-Trip Debrief: Agra

Ever felt weak, tired and nauseous but you still have to get up at 4:00am to leave the house by 5:00am to catch a train? No? That was my situation to start our debrief trip! For some reason my stomach was not feeling great at all and hadn’t been for a few days prior to this trip. I was in the midst of physical spiritual warfare. Needless to say, my travel day was a little on the rough side. Yet, the overall travel day for the team went very smooth. How about walking 4 kilometers in 90 plus degree weather wearing a Punjabi outfit to the Taj Mahal. Have you ever done that? Still no?...
