Scene. The Rising.

Scene.

Dark
homes. Adversity within. Dissension and discord interlaced. Hidden cries for
help masked behind smiling faces. Overwhelmed with disorder. Discouraged by the
system. Tears held back as we hold their hands. Empty words that are not heard.
Our senses not able to be blinded by the darkness. Yellings and beatings behind
closed doors. Hope offered but lost. Endless sighs. Silent thoughts. Loud
prayers lifted. For them that are lost, left stumbling in darkness. Left
gasping for hope. For freedom.

Scene.

In
midst of the darkness, comes a rising. A bright light resonates. It brings the
things that are hidden to light. Those who sit in the darkness, who remain in
the shadow of death are drawn to the light. They long for the brightness of
life. To be lifted up onto their feet. To be guided onto the path surrounded by
this light. It shines upon them. It is a light so powerful that it rises up
bones and breathes life into them. It causes their eyes to be opened, their
ears to hear. It heals broken hearts and brings peace to broken homes. It
causes hearts to bow down as they are lifted up. It is as a sunrise that has
come to bring a new day. The first speckles of sunlight trickle into the air
taking away any darkness that tries to remain. It is exposed by the light,
becoming visible by the human eye. The darkness completely overwhelmed by the
light. Those that remain are completely left out bare to cry out to the only
one that can pick them up. To the light that can take them to the way of life.

Scene.

One foot in front of the other. Feelings of joy and sadness mixed together. The calling of “Teacha! Teacha!” ringing in our ears, behind His calling of being His lamps. Keeping our heads held high and our spirits held higher, as we follow the path set before us. As children of Light we walk. We expose the deeds that are hidden within the darkness. We bring life. He brings life through us. He calls us to speak into the darkness, to draw out those that are stumbling around blindly. He calls us to speak into the shadow of death and speak life into these dead bones. “Behold. He. He will cause breath to enter you, and you shall live! And He. He will lay sinews upon you, and cause flesh to come upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you. And you shall live. And you shall know that He is the Lord.” “Arise! Arise, O Sleeper! Arise from the dead and the Light will shine on you!”

Scene.

A rattling. A rattling as fierce as a storm. Bones coming together. Bones to bones. Hearts fully mended. Sinews and flesh upon them. Skin covering them. A rising. A rising of breath. A rising of life. Being brought into the light. For their bones were dried up. Their hope, lost. But He. He will take them out of the darkness of their graves. He will raise them from their graves and make them into a fierce army. He will make them His, so they know that He is God. But as children who were once in this darkness. As children who were once as dead as dead could be, we walk forward along with them. Through all the hurt, all the pain, all the tears, all frustrations. We walk as children of the Light. Walk as being a light in the Lord. We walk in light of Christ and His love. We rise up as His army. As His servants. As His. We carry this message. We carry this mission to bring life and light into the lives of those that are stuck in the darkness of their graves. We carry our crosses, denying anything else that we try to carry with us, only to carry His Light. His Love. His call. Remembering: ALL THAT IS LOST WITHIN THE DARKNESS WILL BE RESTORED. By the Light of the world. This powerful force.

“Because of the tender mercy of our God…the SUNRISE shall
visit us from on high, to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the
shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.”

(Luke 1:78-79)
