Aslan Erupts

Training camp is some pretty interesting stuff. We go about and meet all this awesome people who we would think are crazy, except they’re exactly like us. We have been working on intimacy with God in worship and in prayer. which seems pretty obvious. like we’re praying or worshiping. it should be intimate. unfortunately sometimes things get in the way. we’re held back by some darkness, whether past, fear, pain, addictions, problems. the first step then is to break these bonds. the second is to jump into intimacy. so breaking the bonds of pain and pride was a big thing for me, which I have been working on, but not hard enough, not with enough desperateness, enough hope, enough trust in God. I found that here, and that is awesome. Then I was able to be more intimate, and share my heart with God. I had this feeling of ripping open my chest, tearing it wide open, so that the fire of God could burn inside. That was pretty powerful stuff. The song by our awesome worship leader, Matt, was my crying call. It is written:

“The Iron of Judah is thundering deep
Roaring down the walls of fear in me
                          And deep inside this battle-cry
                                      you Roar”
God roared up inside of me. I allowed Him to take charge, to command the demons and darkness away. We fought together. He enabled me. Whatever happened, it was something real and finally my heart felt alive again.
