I was talking to my mom on the phone a few weeks ago when she informed me that she wanted to give me some money to bless the boys at our home at my discretion. I immediately knew how we were going to bless them: new clothes.
Our boys wear the same worn, ripped, dirty, tattered clothing with holes and missing buttons day in and day out. When they’re not in their school uniform, they have two outfits: one that they wear day after day after day, and one that they sleep in.
$100 in hand, I began my shopping spree (it’s amazing how far $100 will stretch in India!).
Shopping for little boy’s clothing in India is humorous enough as it is. Throw ME into the mix attempting to find the proper sizes for 17 5-15 year old boys and it was quite the adventure.
The Lord showed us where to find bright, new clothes for our boys and we wrapped them in shiny blue wrapping paper. Watching them open the gifts was like Christmas! I will have to come back and edit this post to include pictures of them opening their gifts–it was such a sweet, precious moment.
Immediately they began trying them on. They look amazing!
So this is a shout out my Mom and Dad! Thank you for blessing me incredibly this past season and for blessing these sweet boys with new clothing.
