This past week we went on a 3 day trip into an area about 3 hours away by train. We went to a few of the surrounding villages. God blessed me with relationships with the people and opportunities to preach and pray for them. After preaching to a group of people, they started approaching and requesting prayer. As we began to lay hands on them I just got the surreal feeling that I had stepped into some sort of “Biblical Time Machine” (patent pending). I felt like a disciple being out in this village with people around me asking for prayer. I felt God’s presence with us. It was incredible!
I would like to tell you about a few people we laid hands on, because God truly worked. First was a young man who has a Thyroid in(on) his throat. It was not very large, but the doctors said it would continue to grow. I placed my hand on his throat; I could feel it in there. As we prayed for Him in Jesus’s name I felt a supernatural sense of peace. I have faith that it will not continue to grow. In fact, I EXPECT it to shrink and eventually disappear. I felt God move.
Now, you may be thinking, “Well, cool. But you don’t really know for sure.” Not only will I tell you that by FAITH God moves and heals, but I will tell of another person we prayed for. This one is a little more “concrete”. This woman approached us with here baby. The baby was wailing. She told us her child has had a bad fever for a long time. I place my hand on the infant’s head. It was SCALDING hot. As I prayed I felt the spirit flow through me. She stopped crying and turned and looked at me. As I looked into her eyes not only did I see a sense of peace and bewilderment in her, but I realized I was pouring out GOD’S love into her. I smiled and brushed her cheek in love and mercy that WAS NOT my own. It was as if I was a middle man delivering Jesus’s love and affection to the child. I “snapped out of it”, I placed my hand on her head and the heat was gone. That child was healed by Jesus’s POWER and LOVE. He is so mighty and merciful.
These stories of God make my heart flutter and desire more of Him, as they should for you as well. God is calling your name, to WALK with Him. He is not some ticket to heaven or fire insurance. He wants to be with you, work through you, and make you His own. And I promise you it is not for something insignificant, but for true, biblical MIRACLES. So I will end with a question. He is calling to you. He is asking you to be with Him and allow Him to work through you. Are you letting Him?
