Here I Come Falling

Falling…Well jumping? I jumped. Off a super high cliff in Rio de Janeiro…Brazil that it is. I didn’t have a hang glider, but I still jumped, because I knew it would be ok. I could see the Jesus statue. I had jumped way above it. On my descent down to earth I was trying to figure out how I could survive, what I could grab onto. I knew I would though, because when there is a will there is a way…Then outside of this dream I heard a baby cry, and I didn’t know where I was. Then I woke up, and found myself napping on the floor of a pre-school in India. Sometimes in life we do...

Hope

From the moment this woman has entered the earth she has had to fight for her very life.  Neglected  and rejected she has grown to fend for herself.  Working the day away, she suffers with the pain of never being of any worth.  She’s looked down upon and abused by all who should have loved her.  Never having a father, she knows no man of honor.  By fourteen she’s handed off to her cousin who now is her husband.  Abuse and neglect do not disappear, but increase.  She’s living in fear.  At the age of...

But factor in moving out of a ministry site and a medical clinic on top of our everyday ministry, this week was a lot. But God is good. And he’s been using this time to force me to rely on him fully. Because he is the only constant of this life. Whether it’s in India or America. Or anywhere and everywhere in between. I’m learning to rely on him for everything. Which I promise is not nearly as easy as it sounds. He is my...

I Wanna Hold YOUR Hand…

So many times in this life I feel as though God is not there, He’s not listening, He’s taken a vacation. He hase’nt….He never does.      As I was spending a lot of time with our stitching teacher here this week God reminded  me over and over of His love and protection through her. That He never leaves me, that He’s always there. She had no idea that her actions towards me spoke so much to my soul…   As this women and I were walking around in the slum community everyday she would hold my hand. Since this was a little...
