Pilot Me

Coming on the trip I really didn’t have any expectations for training camp, mostly because I just wanted to get to India. Now I realize how essential it is to be here before we go out into the world and on the field. Being here I have learned so much more than I ever expected to! We’ve learned about the culture we will be in from people who have been there. We have talked about things keeping us from God and barriers that may be in our way. We have learned how to be a team that glorifies God in all that they do. And we have learned how to listen to...

Our Place In History

You know that warm fuzzy you get when you walk in your front door for the first time in a long time? That was the feeling of meeting my team for the first time – like meeting long lost family 🙂 Our first night we stayed at Safe House smack- dab in the middle of Atlanta. Also smack-dab in the middle of the Dragoncon craziness! I’d highly encourage you to Google it and learn about it for yourself if you don’t know what it is. Basically, it’s Sci-Fi fans gone wild…. Ya. With so many people gathered in one place, lots of whom were lost and searching for a light,...

Jesus is enough.

Jesus is enough.  I think that’s been the overall theme of life as of late and training camp in general. I’ve had an interesting time at training camp. First of all, I kind of forgot about training camp. I had focused so much on preparing for India that I had forgotten about the 4 days that I would spend at AIM. Ooops. So when I landed in the Atlanta airport and we ended up taking MARTA to downtown Atlanta and spending the night at Safehouse (a homeless ministry) and wandering the streets of Atlanta talking to both homeless people and people dressed up as characters for...

Faithful He Is & Faithful He Will Always Be.

God has done amazing things starting from Flit, MI.  Upon my arrival to Flint, it was presented to me that my plane was delayed by two hours. However it gave me extra time to spend with my family and say goodbyes to the ones I love.  After going through the security and waving my last goodbyes to family I then waited for departure.   In this time, I vented to the Lord and reminded Him of what he was calling me to do.  I told Him I trusted him…… but there was one thing…. I still needed money to even go on this trip.  And when I say money…. I needed a few...

A Safe Place

Training camp has been really…good. There really are no other words. The Lord has given me such peace through all the things He’s been teaching me here and speaking so clearly through all the people that He’s brought into my life this last weekend.  Within the last 4 days, there has just been such a load lifted off of me, and I know that load was the weight of my shame and sin. I came into this weekend with a struggle between my flesh and the Spirit of God that lives within me. I have felt shame and guilt because of my mistakes and have felt like I haven’t...
