Heartbeat

Reality: God is bigger than me. God is wiser than me, and God can speak through me. My name for Jesus yesterday was specifically the Faithful One. We were challenged to just allow the Lord to speak through us to other people in our training camp last night, a.k.a. prophesy. Have I ever really just sat and listened long enough, or even just genuine enough to hear the Lord speak to me specifically, NO. Not in this way. I thought that I had an idea just how much He wants, desperately wants to use each of us. He chose us, so why not use us?! Prophesy is the idea that we allowed Jesus, invited...

Presence of the Holy Spirit

The biggest thing that God has been revealing to me over this training camp is to let the Holy Spirit do its work!  This training camp has been showing me how much God wants to be in conversation with His children through out the entire day, each day. I do not give the Holy Spirit the credit and attention that He deserves. I didn’t realize that Jesus can speak to us so clearly, and that I might not even be paying enough attention to realize it’s Him!!! The Adventure Begins:)

The adventure began with a trek through atlanta to the community safe house which would also be our home for the night. After days full of team building ( dont worry, I know what your thinking and no we did not do any of those obnoxious trust fall, obstacle course games) we spent time getting to know each other and stretching the faith of our team through each other. We danced, cried, created, ate, slept, sweat, and took hose showers together. Preparing us for how the next three months would be..who knew it would be so stinky. Redeemed

Hi friends!! 🙂  So this is pretty much the same post that I made on my team blog, and so now I am posting this as a “first blog” on my adventure with the Lord to India! I am from Dallas, Texas and one of 6 in my family. I have 3 sisters, so yes my dad is the only male in the house. My dad has been a pastor my whole life and so I have been raised in an incredible Christian home where the love is bountiful. My mom has been a stay at home mom most my life, but for the past 5 years has also taken on working at the Container Store. My older sister is a sophomore at Texas Tech...
