been home for almost 48 hours

Strong, overwhelming feelings have come over me today. I have been back in America for almost 48 hours. Excitement, exhaustion, sadness, and anger are all some things that I have been feeling. I was SO excited to come back home, but now, all I want is to be back in the room that smelled like pee and mold. I want to be surrounded by all the Indian people and my wonderful teammates in a crowded smelly bus. I want to be soaked from the rain all day long at the preschool. Today, I went to walmart with my dad to get a few groceries and such. Looking at the prices and just people watching...

Asha

Throughout the summer, I always looked forward to visiting my three friends: Sara, Sue, and Lindsay. They all own shops on the beach and are good friends. I’ve got my saree on and I really want some naan…

So our trip has almost come to a close. We are back in Bangalore debriefing and are flying home on Friday morning. At the same time, it feels like I have been here forever, and I am so excited to go home and see my mommy! I have learned so many things on this trip and there’s so much that I want to take home with me from India. Besides the head bobble, I really want to remember all that God has taught me about how big He is and how faithful...

Dreams of India

When thinking about what to write my blog about this week, all that kept coming to mind was the absolutely ridiculous dreams I have been having recently.  In American, I don’t normally remember my dreams unless they are really strange, but for some reason my ones recently have been quite memorable.  But let me preface this blog by saying that my malaria pills do not have strange dreams as a side effect so do not blame it on that.   The first dream I remember having here was way back in Bangalore during the first week of our trip and it was about Wal-Mart.  I...
