Hello everyone from Toccoa Falls College in the middle of nowhere Georgia! Our team is currently at training camp and have started to pack up to head off to Calcutta tomorrow morning. I just want all of you to know that whoever has been praying for our trip, the holy spirit is already working in each and everyone of us and it is so evident. We have a team of six girls and an amazing leader Heidi, she is ROCK. We are a team of laughter, encouragement, and goodness. It is so special to have a small intimate group where we feel like we can share anything and everything and feel no condemnation. That is rare. We are definitely all “feelers” rather than thinkers so we all understand where one another is coming from. The unity in christ and the strength of the spiritual bond between us only after three days is truly a blessing. Praise Jesus for his faithfulness in divinely putting all of us together!
Training camp everyday kinda goes like this. Meal time, worship. And when i say worship i mean true expressions, on our knees hands in the air, jumping around worship of our father. The spirits presence during worship is truly breathtaking and wonderful. After worship usually a talk, preparing us for each of our journeys. It is not only team India at this camp. Its every team going to the nations. Honduras, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Peru, Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Cambodia, Thailand, Swaziland, New Zealand, and a couple others I think i left out.
We have been learning so much to prepare us to go.
We have also had a couple of fun activities allowing us to express our creativity. Dance off’s, building tents for our camp out, painting canvases of what we feel like the lord is going to do in our specific areas.
We went on a hike yesterday through campus and were given a log to write down the things that we wanted to surrender to the Lord and at the end of our hike were able to throw those things in the fire giving them to Christ and granting each of us freedom. It has already been a journey and we are all so excited to be the hands and feet of Jesus in Calcutta. Pray for safety in all of our travels. We will be arriving about 7 PM June 6th. Pray for the Lord to touch each of our hearts in a special way and that all of us would recieve what he is trying to instill in us. Thank yall for your prayers and support!!
