A Heart Wide Open

You won’t relent until You have it all. My heart is yours.  You won’t relent until You have it all. My heart is yours.   I’ve had those lyrics in my head for the past couple days, trying to keep my heart open to God. But I’ll be honest. I came into this trip with a closed heart, both to God and to other people. Yes, I trusted in God that India was where He wanted me to be and was open to Him working in my life but there were still parts of my heart that I tried to keep closed off to Him and everyone else. The part of my heart that is dark and filled with selfishness,...

The Weights We Carry

There is so much that I could say to describe my time at training camp in Georgia. I could describe the living conditions, the bucket showers, the teachings on the Holy Spirit (and how you could see him move), the charismatic worship, or the food. But I want to focus on a single lesson that I learned: the weights we hold. These could be regrets of things done, of things not done, of people we have hurt, of anger towards people who have hurt us, anything. I’m Falling in Love…

Something has happened over the past few days at Passport Training Camp. My heart has been captured in way that I don’t ever think it has been before. It is so special to have a small intimate group where we feel like we can share anything and everything and feel...

Give it all you got

Worship. There are many ways to do this. Holding your hands to the sky. Flat on the floor. Jumping up and down. Standing completely still. Swaying. Again, there are many ways. And God has been teaching me how to really praise Him! I needed to get over the whole, “What are they going to think of me? Are they gonna find me weird if I put my hands in the air or close my eyes as I am singing.” That is NOT why we worship our God. It’s not about what others will think of you. It’s not about ‘looking good.’ It’s about a one person audience. It’s about...
