Throughout this whole trip I’ve been continually
surrendering myself to God’s plan for my life.
Daily lifting up my hands and my heart and saying “Here I am. Use me
however You want.” When I came here to
India I had no idea what I was doing after this trip. I actually dreaded coming
home because I knew nothing could top this experience and after it life would
be dull in comparison. In the beginning of this trip, instead of enjoying my
time here, I was only focused on planning the next step. I ended up getting
really anxious and scared about not having a set plan. However through the
example of my leader Beks and some other leaders from AIM I’ve been super
encouraged. They live their life moment to moment leaving it all in God’s
hands, ready to move when He says move. Most of the time they don’t know what
the next step is until it’s time to take that step. And they’re JOYFUL in the
unknown. This really inspired me to open up my chest and let God take my heart
and lead my soul completely.
This past week my Father has honored my surrender in ways I
could’ve never imagined. Day after day He is showing me things He wants me to
do for Him. He’s confirmed the pursuance of some of my biggest ambitions and
revealed to me so many new adventures He has for me in this life. God is so
good. He has such amazing things for us if we only let Him show us.
Now, I can hardly contain my excitement about life after my
adventure here in India. This is NOT the only time God will use me. This is
only the beginning and life will never be the same. It’s amazing how freeing it
is to surrender, to daily CHOOSE to trust the Lord with your life, to hold your
hands up to God, handing over your ambitions, your dreams, your hopes for life…That’s
what I call beautiful.
Here comes the sun and it’s alright.
P.S. – I know, another Beatles reference….I’m just really
feeling them lately!
