I Got ya Kid

Ok, so I haven’t learned to trust God by now….I don’t know what it will take.

FUNDRAISING
“God, how is this money going to come so I can go?”……Go got ya kid.
      – Every time a deadline has come, I have hit the financial amounts weeks early.
MEDICAL
“God, I don’t know where to get this stuff?”….I got ya kid.
      – After a painful 6 months of trying to find this blasted stuff, my aunt gave me a number to call.  They didn’t have it, BUT KNEW A PLACE THAT DID.  I called them and had an appointment made by the end of the week.  The next week, I had my medication done.
     – Walking around school one day, I joked to God that I should get a $50 tip for the extra work in my job.  The next day, I got a card with……$50.
TEAM
“God, I’m worried that they won’t like me.”…..I got ya kid.
-Not only do they like me, but I LOVE them.  They are beyond what I was imagining about what I team would be.  I am trusting God (ah-ha! lesson learned) that this team will miraculous things in India!  Also, all girls!  Am I worried?  Nope!
VISA
“God….????”……..I got ya kid.
     – A visa and a passport are two different things.
-This is where God really showed me trust.  I sent in all my information two weeks early so I would be fine.  The next day, it was being sent back disapproved (the only thing missing was a signature in my passport).  Sent back to home.  While I was at school working a show.
My mom got my passport early the next week and tried to overnight it to school.  Apparently, my school is ONE OF FIVE zip codes where overnight is not allowed.  Why? I don’t know.  I got and sent out my passport (with a signature) the same day.  The visa people got it the next day.
They waited a week to open the package.  The next day, I was off to training camp.  By Monday, there was no chance that I was leaving with my team and I was told it would be AT LEAST 14 days before I could see/be with my team again.
I was heart broken.  The past 2 years of dreaming.  The past 7 months of fundraising, making shirts and scarves, selling hugs (an idea stolen from one of my team mates), telling people what I am doing, would all have gone to waste.
The next day, the visa was approved and was in the main the NEXT DAY.  So, not my timing but God got it done.

TRAVELING

God, I don’t wanna travel alone.”….I got ya kid.
     – I had a teammate who was in my same position.  We hopped on a plane 5 days later and met up with our team 1 week after they left.  ðŸ™‚
So, what can God not do?  Test Him and see Him come through for you.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him and He will make your paths straight”
     -Proverbs 3:5-6
I wish I could show you the view which is totally worth these past 2 years BUT I will.  ONCE, I figure out how to put a photo onto this blog.

But no worries….as God likes to say “I got ya kid.”  ðŸ™‚
