No turning back, no turning back.
So this is a song that God put on my heart this week and for the first time I really thought about what it meant. No turning back when you decide to follow Jesus does not mean that things will be easy or that you will not fall flat on your face sometimes, but it does mean that even when we do fall and feel like giving up that we will arise and carry onward. No turning back! I was reminded too of a quote from a book I once read, “Courage is not the absence of fear, but the decision that something is more important than that fear.” And so then I thought I would dig a little dipper into courage and in Joshua 1:5-6 we read, “No one shall be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will not fail you or forsake you. BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS, for you shall put this people in possession of the land that I swore to their ancestors to give them.” Yes God! There is nothing that man can offer us that could be better than what You offer us Father. So let us be strong and courageous!
Jesus is so awesome you guys! This week on one of our house visits in the slum, there was this young Muslim couple who had this little baby girl who was sick. They said she cries and cries every night and they cannot get any rest, so they took her to the doctor and they took her to their Muslim temple where they got this necklace and where they breathed on it or something and put it around her neck. That night, however, there was no change in this precious little one and she cried all night again. So they let us pray for them and everything and we had asked Jesus to heal this girl and to let her peacefully sleep all through the night and let her parents get rest. And so I knew without a doubt that she was going to sleep good this night. The next day as we passed through the slum I saw this lady with her child and asked how the baby slept and she motioned with her hands that she HAD slept good all through the night. That’s what our Jesus can do! I’m so excited for that family! I really am.
God is so faithful and good. In all areas and in all situations in our life, He never lets us down. He is SO moving in this ministry right now and expanding and refining it…it’s beautiful. And I’m just so thankful and blessed that He chose to bring ME here at …”such a time as this” (Esther 4:14).
“My Jesus, my Savior. Lord there is none like You. Let every breath, all that I am…Never cease to worship You.”
Shout to the Lord and God bless you all! Love, Meghan
