The name of the blog doesn’t have much to do with the blog itself, it’s just something that I’ve found to be true in India, and it’s really kind of funny because right now in the lobby which I’m blogging there’s a really loud and awesome Indian wedding going on and outside the groom just rode in on a horse and I just happen to be wearing my sari today :P. Oh and last weekend there was a wedding but HE rode in on an elephant!
I was really convicted this week, and sometimes I feel like I’m not always living up to what God has called me to do. I can still see him. His face. There was such anguish in those eyes. He was a man in the slum who couldn’t walk. He was just like crawling on his back, and it was SO hot. He looked so thirsty. I knew Jesus could have healed him. I knew at least He would have given him water. I knew God could have used me. But I walked by, got on the bus…and left. His face. I was so upset on the bus ride. Thinking about all the healings and good Jesus did while He was here I thought to myself that I “wish Jesus was with me.”…And that;s when conviction slapped me right in the face. Jesus is inside of me, He’s closer to me now than He was whith His dicsiple when He was on earth. Isn’t that what we believe and so then why shouldn’t we live up to that belief? I prayed for him. And all I could really do was ask for God’s forgiveness. And move forward.
It’s easy to move forward when you’re on top of the world and doing great, but it’s more difficult when you’re stuck in humiliations and discouragement. But I think that’s when God uses us and tests us and refines us the most. When you follow Jesus you’re going to fall on your face just like everyone, but the thing that’s different is that you will get up and keep moving forward and not stay down. I can do nothing less. (Ephesians 3:14-21)
Ok so UPDATE and GOOD NEWS!! You know that lady I blogged about last weekend, Strength? Well she had another doctors appointment and ALL of her TB tests came back NEGATIVE!!! That’s a praise God and THANK YOU JESUS! God is so good and faithful-even when we are not.
Preschool started up again so it’s nice to be back in the swing of things and see all the kids again!
Oh and YAY we got to go to the Spice Farm and ride elephants this weekend! So much fun! And then the next day we led worship with the youth group at church and that was really awesome.
So needless to say it’s been a full but great week! Love, Meghan
