Jai Ho!

Once upon a time there was a little boy. Let’s call him Bill. His father left his mother and their son because he decided he didn’t
love them. His mother went mad so his grandmother attempted to take care of
him. He ended up living a year of his life on the streets, where he learned how
to steal. His life was a mess. Then his grandmother found an orphanage and made
the best decision of her life. She left him with people that would love and
care for him but most importantly that would show him the love of a father that
he needed so badly. A few years later he met a girl. This girl fell in love
with him. From the moment that she laid eyes on him she felt a deep connection
but she didn’t understand what it was. A few days later she found out. The boy’s
grandmother came to visit. Before the grandmother left she did nothing but
scold her grandson Bill. Then she walked away without looking back. The girl,
who was standing with Bill, broke. Something she hadn’t felt in a long time
arose within her. And it wasn’t her pain that she was feeling but that of Bill’s.  Rejection. She watched as Bill
shot upstairs to his room. She followed him to see if he was okay. As she held
his precious little face in her hands she saw a mask being put on. A wall built
around his broken and shattered heart. And she knew all about how that felt, for
she had experienced it many, many years before.
God brought that little, amazing, precious, precious, boy into my life
for a reason. And I believe that I am here in India for that little boy. Last
night as he was telling me about how he didn’t want to go to school I took his
face in my hands and looked deep into his eyes. I told him that everything was
going to be okay. That I loved him and that I would be waiting for him when he
got back. I kissed his forehead and sent him off. What did I see in his eyes?
Trust. And that is amazing. I claim victory over this boy’s heart. That he
would learn to accept love and give love; that feelings of rejection would
never arise again, because he knows that there are at least two people in this
world who love him to death. May God reach this little boys heart. There is
victory in Jesus. Jai Ho! (VICTORY!)
