The earth is the Lord’s…
“The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein, for he has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the rivers.” Psalm 24:1-2
Everything about India is different, from the people to the food to the transportation to the language, etc.
But the fact that the people here both belong to and are made in the image of the Lord is the same.
Sometimes it can be really hard to remember that ALL people are made in the image of the Lord and belong to him. Especially in such a spiritually dark place. It’s hard to remember that the corrupt politicians who demolish houses without warning are image bearers. Or husbands who beat their wives. Or creepy men that stare and call after us are made in his image. But they are. All of them. They are no different than me. God loves them the same way. Which can seem so unfair, but at the end of the day, I am not deserving of God’s grace either. But he still gives it. And I am so thankful that everything in the earth belongs to him. And I am continually praying that he will show me where He is amidst the devastation. Cause I know he is in all of it.
