2 Corinthians 3:2-3
” You are our letter written on our hearts, known and read by everybody. You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts”
In our last evening of prayer with the boys this is the verse the Lord prompted me to share. You see, as the team and I leave this place we carry the boys, the ministry, and the different people we have encountered in India in our hearts. Everything they have taught us about love, prayer, worship, or playing will impact the people that we go on to meet for the rest of our lives. Like some of the books of the Bibles are letters, our lives have become letters of what this place has taught us.
The boys, ministry, and people we have met are our letters also. When they put into action the things they have learned from us it will be known by the people that they meet. They have become our letters.
More importantly, when we all carry these things in our hearts and in our lives we show that we have been met by God. Whether that was in the form of tutoring, laughing, tickling, hugging, or simply loving, we witness that God has made His presence known in our lives. It glorifies Christ. The result of our ministry in India is that we have tangibly shown how much God cares about and love the people we encountered. He spoke to the team and loved the people of India enough that He sent us here to love them. This is a letter testifying about Christ’s love.
The most beautiful thing about this is that these letters, these impacting moments in our lives that are directly from God will not fade. Unlike paper that rips or ink that blots out or pencil that can be erased, the presence of the Lord and the result of His Spirit meeting us and leading us is permanent. It has been written on our hearts.
We are all a part of each other because of this, and always will be. India will forever be a part of our lives and our lives will forever be a part of India. Praise the Lord.
My challenge: Well, this is my last blog. I challenge you and myself to pursue God. Really pursue Him. Live everyday that it is your last and be aware that in every moment of every day God is present and is at work. He is so so good my friends. I don’t want you or myself to miss a single second of the goodness of knowing who He is.
I love you all, even if I don’t know you. Thank you for meeting me in this journey. I hope it encouraged you.
Blessings,
Raelyn
