Watch Me Move the Mountains

Last week I got the awesome opportunity to go and spend a few days at a remote country-like area outside of the city. We took a flat, a bus and some trains to get there and after a long and fun-filled day we arrived.

There is absolutely nothing like seeing miles and miles of rice farms, lined with straw huts, palm trees, naked babies and smiling brown faces. We unpacked, put up our mosquito nets and ventured out around our area. Some kids invited us to their house for some tea and we noticed the many, many idols and realized their hold is a lot stronger here than where we live. You can feel it. The next couple of days we went into some small villages and found the same thing. The stronghold Satan has over it is astounding, but God in all His wisdom has made a way for His Gospel to be known to people who don’t. We shared some messages, sang songs and prayed over the people. This area is a lot different than where we live because of the great Muslim population. When we were in town I noticed the men have this dangerous authority over women, the women are covered head to toe in black. The only thing you can see is their eyes. It is extremely sad.
I left the village feeling a little uncertain.
Why aren’t these people healed? God, why are you allowing Satan to have this stronghold over these people. Lord, why won’t you set them free?
I have been hearing God saying “Have faith” over and over. If I want to watch the lame walk, the blind see, demons cast out, diseases heal and mountains move then I need to believe it’s going to happen and trust that God knows what He is doing. I have the key of faith to enter into the Kingdom of God, learn the King’s ways and fight the kingdom of darkness. Jesus exercised His authority to do this over and over throughout the Gospels and this authority is part of my inheritance as God’s child.
So, with that, I am very excited- I can feel Him moving in this place, paving the way for His freedom.
Matthew9:28-29

“They went right into the house where he was staying, and Jesus asked them, “Do you believe I can make you see?””Yes, Lord,” they told him, “we do.”Then he touched their eyes and said, “Because of your faith, it will happen.””

This week, Pastor Sam’s (our contact) daughter went to the hospital for probably the third time now. Gladys is the sweetest one year old you will ever meet. Her parents named her Gladys because she is always glad. She has been getting sicker and sicker since we got here, a lot of the boys have been getting sick too. A couple of us went to the hospital to visit, the doctors said they think it is TB. We laid hands on her and prayed and she came home the next day a lot better. Praise God!
The new girls Asha Mission home in Renegade, Kolkata opens up this week!! I think we are going to a village where the girls orphanage is opening to do some prayer meetings and share the Gospel sometime this week.
What a great God we serve!
