Waves of Mercy, Waves of Grace

Rain. Who doesn’t love a good rain? It refreshes the earth y makes it smell clean. Well, not so in thr slums. In the slums it kind of makes a really muddy mess y little rivers of water that smells like poo. Anyways, as I was walking through this rain in the slum the other day, I watched the brown water going by my feet and I couldn’t stop thinking about the song we always sing with the kids, “Waves of Mercy.” Waves of Mercy Waves of Grace. At first it was kind of sung mockingly in my head, but as I watvhed the water get my feet dirty, the song started playing softer and more lovingly. Waves of Mercy Waves of Grace. How beautiful. How beautiful are the people, the dirty streets, the children playing in the rain, the muddy feet. We are here to serve, to love, to get dirty. And to smile. God showed me really how beutiful it is to surrender yourself to Him, with open hands, opens hearts, and willing feet. So that was really a God moment for me this week.

Friday we had a birthday party with all the girls at the flat and it was just so much fun! We all had our sari’s on and it was just amazing.
Saturday was really neat, we went on a prayer walk in three differnt Hindi temples and then one Catholic Cathedral. It was very interesting. The temples had such a spiritually dark feel in them and we just went in there and would pray for all those people in Jesus’ name. It was really sad to see the people worshiping in there and offering those ugly, mute statues flowers and what not as if they will be heard or answered. Very sad. Please everyone, pray for them. So it was a very busy weekend. I love going to church on Sundays though, it’s so uplifting to worship the One True God with fellow believers. So wonderful.

God gave me a verse this week as a wondered about what all He had in store for my life, and He told me to look up Psalm 32. So I’m giving it to you all to read aswell. God bless and thanks for reading! Love, Meghan!
