Mary Moments…

Wow. All I can say is wow. I am in awe of the Lord and all that He has been doing! First, let me just say I LOVE India! I’m so thankful to finally be here. The people are unique, strange, and beautiful. Big brown eyes peering at our white skin, the overwhelming aromas, and the ambiguous head-bobble. TII. This Is India. But there is much more. India is dark. India has bonds and chains. Exploitation, slavery, corruption. This is India. Then there is us. The children of God. His light is breaking through. His love, His hope.We have the privilege of serving at a children’s home who...

A big log

I thought I was ready to go to India God had been doing huge transformations in my heart leading up to this trip. Making me like Himself through sanctification, healing wounds etc. I was ready. I expected training camp to be awesome; a time where my team and I would bond, and learn about the culture we were walking into. I didn’t expect that God would change me so much in one weekend. It’s Gonna Be Wild

Having served with AIM last summer to Goa, India, I already had an idea of what training camp would be like. I knew there would be lots of people in small spaces. Training camp is usually a place for new freedom and restoration that has never been found. But I have already found that. Yet, God still had something special for me. He always does. You see, I am at such a special place in my heart....

I’ll See You Someday Once Again, And If Not We’ll Meet Up In Heaven

“So this has really been a beautiful experience and what’s more beautiful is that we are still growing, not just as individuals, but as a group, a team, a family.”(“Singing In The Rainâ€ 9-5-11)                   The airplane took off high into the air. And it was cold outside. She sat there towards the back. Short brown hair, henna covering her hands and feet, she wore her salwar kameez....

Pinky Promise Me

We’re done. Three months has flown by and I’ve said goodbye to everyone who now owns a piece of my heart. Whenever you do something like this you always ask, “Am I really making a difference? Have I wasted my time here?” I was asking that. Then I got my answer. “I’m sad.” I looked down at Manjunah. He had muttered it the first time, so I asked, “What?” He repeated it again a little louder but never looked up at me. “Because we’re leaving?” I asked. He leaned his head on me as he nodded. “But I’m coming to...
