Starbucks!?

You know, for as long as I can remember I’ve loved a good cup of coffee in an air conditioned building with Bible in hand. What sweet times with Jesus those always are. Now as I’m sure most of you know, Starbucks and AC don’t aren’t a readily available commodity over here in India. I think the Lord has taught me something huge in this. He’s teaching me that worshiping in the sweltering heat can be even MORE sweet than in an air conditioned building.    I’ve always thought that I knew this. I’ve always thought, “Well hey, I...

Life in India

When you step out of America and into the third world, things that were once easy become a bit more…challenging. Finding toilet paper becomes an ordeal when the country you’re in doesn’t use it, clean drinking water has to be brought in, and internet is scarce. Our team headed out on Saturday, our “day off” from ministry, to get online to connect with friends and family. We’re In India!!

Hey everyone, just wanted to let you know we are in India and doing great! We’ve spent the last couple days getting settled at our apartment and our ministry, getting to know the area, and playing with the most precious boys you’ve ever seen.   I’m posting this from an internet stick I am borrowing as we are still searching for internet, but expect blogs from each of the girls within the next few days!   Thank you for your prayers for us. Excited to share pictures and stories soon!

Made it Safely

We just spoke with the team leaders and they’ve all arrived safely in Calcutta. It’s currently Thursday morning from them so needless to say, they are quite tired. They are in route to their ministry site where they will be trying to catch up on some much needed rest as well as settling in these next few days and getting some orientation from their host.  Expect to see some blogs rolling out in the next few days as they find internet. Thanks for all the prayers for this team! The Passport field support team

Take My Hand

Our first meal as a team, we were already laughing to the point of tears, and I knew this group of women is divinely appointed. Of the 6 college students and 1 team leader that make up our team, I am the youngest, and I celebrated my 20th birthday on June 2. My team made the day so special. From the time I woke up with balloons on my bed, to sharing a delicious birthday cake under the tent we constructed that night, my sweet teammates did their best to make the first day of my twenties memorable. Although we are each from a different state and have a different sum of experiences that make...

Calm before the storm

Hello everyone from Toccoa Falls College in the middle of nowhere Georgia! Our team is currently at training camp and have started to pack up to head off to Calcutta tomorrow morning. I just want all of you to know that whoever has been praying for our trip, the holy spirit is already working in each and everyone of us and it is so evident. We have a team of six girls and an amazing leader Heidi, she is ROCK. We are a team of laughter, encouragement, and goodness. It is so special to have a small intimate group where we feel like we can share anything and everything and...
